2007 Men's Lacrosse Season Recap

The men's lacrosse team finished 5-10 this year, but finished the season strong with a big senior day win over Kean University. Farmingdale had one member of the team named to the Skyline All-Conference team in senior captain and midfielder Ryan LaFlare.

LaFlare became Farmingdale's all-time leading scorer this season. He leaves Farmingdale with a career tally of 131 goals and 31 assists. Ryan ranked 14th in the nation in goals per game (3.07), 19th in ground balls per game and 47th in points per game. The teams leading playmaker, junior attacker Joe Meola, ranks 75th in the nation in assists per game. He led the squad with 21 assists and added 26 goals. Junior transfer and midfielder Chris Fiorenzo was third in scoring and made a nice addition to the attack this year with 27 points.

Defensively, senior captain Rob Hattenrath was one of the leaders in caused turnovers, along with freshman Tom Dluginski. The goalkeeping was led by senior Kevin Winters, who finished with a .56 save percentage, ranking him 68th in the nation in that category.

The Rams will graduate three players and will look to make an appearance in post-season play next year.
