Rams Fall at Home to Utica College

Farmingdale, NY The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team fell to 0-4 today after a 13-6 loss to Utica College (2-0) on Wednesday afternoon in Farmingdale, NY. Both teams scored one goal in the first period but Utica held a 4-3 lead at the half, led by junior attacker Steve Schoen (Whitesboro/Whitesboro) with a goal and two assists. The Rams scored three more goals in the final two periods, but Utica added four in the third and five in the fourth period for the win.

Senior midfielder Matt Ramacca (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) led the Rams with two goals and one assist. Single goal scorers for Farmingdale were: junior midfielder Ryan LaFlare (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst), freshman midfielder Kyle Ludwig (Levittown, NY/Island Trees), sophomore attacker Gianluca Carrabs (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) and freshman attacker John Hattenrath (Bayside, NY/Cardozo). Junior goalkeeper Chris Hardgrove (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) finished with 12 saves.

Schoen finished the game for Utica with two goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Ryan McGowan (Northport/Northport) and sophomore attacker Dave Misiaszek (New Hartford/New Hartford) each had two goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Tom Collins (West Genessee/Camillus) added two goals and five players finished with one goal. Senior goalkeeper Sean Ryan (Webster/Webster) had 18 saves.
