Ramacca's OT Goal Takes Rams over Marymount

Farmingdale State picked up their first win of the season after Matt Ramacca (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) scored the game-winner for the Rams with 3:23 left in overtime.

Farmingdale took a quick 3-0 lead in the first period, but found themselves even at halftime 5-5. Marymountís Brandon Thompson scored his fourth goal of the game to put MU up by one, 7-6, with 2 minutes remaining before Farmingdale senior Matt Lott (Hauppauge, NY/Hauppauge) scored at 00:56 off a feed from Joe Meola (Rocky Point, NY/Rocky Point) to send the game into overtime. Tony Sheridan (Merrick, NY/Mepham) made 24 saves in net for the Rams. Lott led the attack with two goals.

Goal scoring for Farmingdale went as follows: Gianluca Carrabs, Mike Cullen, Jeremy Goohs, James Donaldson, Matt Lott, Ryan LaFlare, Matt Lott, Matt Ramacca.

Farmingdale returns to action on Friday, March 4th at Maritime College at 3:30pm.
