Farmingdale, N.Y. - Receiving an at-large bid to the 2009 Division III NCAA Championship, the Rams have drawn the University of New England in the First Round, making their third trip to the NCAA Tournament in four years. The game will be played at Rhode Island College on Friday, March 6th, game time is 8:00 p.m.

After falling to St. Joseph's on a final second free throw, 69-68,
on Saturday night in the Skyline Finals, Farmingdale State (24-3)
received an at-large bid and will make their second consecutive
trip to the NCAA's. The Rams will face UNE, located in Biddeford,
Maine, who earned their first-ever bid after defeating Colby-Sawyer
College, 90-79, in Saturday's The Commonwealth Coast Conference
final.
The host institution, Rhode Island College, will be taking on MIT
in the other First Round game. Rhode Island received an at-large
bid after falling to UMass Dartmouth, 62-53, in the Little East
Finals, while MIT defeated Springfield College, 76-50, in the
NEWMAC Championship game to earn the automatic bid.
The winner of both games will tip-off on Saturday, March 7th at
7:00 p.m. at Rhode Island College.
