Rams Keep it Rollin'
Farmingdale State - 88, Bard College - 75
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team kept their streak rolling with an 88-75 conference victory over Bard (0-18, 0-13) on Wednesday night. The win increased the Rams streak to 14 straight wins and an 18-2 overall record, 12-1 in the Skyline, and currently one half game ahead of St. Joe's for First Place.
The Rams built an early 47-33 lead in the first half, which would help them in the second half as they struggled from shooting (26.9%). Farmingdale State junior forward Mike Campbell (Bronx, N.Y./Samuel Gompers) finished with 35 points and 17 rebounds for the night, while senior guard Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) posted 20 points and a game-high five steals. Senior forwards Erastus Shannon (Amityville, N.Y./Copiague) and Davon Jackson (New York, N.Y./Rice) both pulled down nine rebounds. Junior forward Dan Phillips (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) finished with 11 points and senior guard Joe Cammaratta (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) was the fourth player in double digits with 10 points.
The Rams host Mount Saint Mary College this Saturday, February 7th at 3:00 p.m., before next week's big home game with St. Joseph's on Thursday, February 12th at 8:00 p.m.
