PURCHASE, N.Y. - Manhattanville scored 58 second-half points and overcame a nine-point deficit early in the second half to record a 93-76 victory over defending Skyline Conference champion Farmingdale State on Thursday night, February 22nd in the Semifinals of the Conference Tournament.

Manhattanville got off to a quick start and jumped out to a 21-12 lead with 11:03 to play in the half thanks to six 3-pointers by four different players. Farmingdale came right back as Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y.) knocked down three of his own from behind the arc, and tied the game at 30-30 with 3:51 remaining. The visitors then ended the half on an 11-5 run to take a 41-35 lead into the locker room.

Farmingdale's Peter Lipka (Shelton, Conn.) opened up the half with three of his 22 points on the night and put the Rams ahead by nine, 44-35. But the Valiants held the Rams scoreless over the next five minutes while scoring 16 points to take a 53-46 lead with 14:24 to play.

Junior Brian Fink (Queens, N.Y.) came out strong in the second half to spark the Valiants. The guard who had tallied six points on two 3-pointers in the first half, knocked down four more 3-pointers to finish the game with 20 points. Manhattanville had four different players in double digits, led by junior Cody Moffett (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who finished with 24 points and eight rebounds. Senior John DiBetta (Valhalla, N.Y.) scored 19 points while picking up three steals and four rebounds. Junior guard Brendan Flynn (Queens, N.Y.) added 11 points in just 22 minutes of action.

Farmingdale had two players in double figures, led by Lipka who finished with 22 points and Santana who tallied 17.

The Rams will wait to hear about an ECAC bid, which will be announced on Monday night, February 26th.
