Damien McKenzie (Lakeview, NY/Malverne) hit a three pointer with barely any time remaining to tie the score at 67 and send the Rams into overtime against conference opponent Maritime College. Farmingdale outscored the Privateers 8-5 in OT for a 75-72 victory, as junior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) scored five of the Rams eight points. The Rams are now 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the Skyline, while Maritime falls to 0-8, 0-2 Skyline.
McKenzie finished with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds. Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) was second in scoring with 20 and grabbed a game-high 13 boards. Freshman Warren McAllister (Far Rockaway, NY/Far Rockaway) tallied a career-high 13 points including three three’s.
For Maritime, Gary Browne (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee) and Gerard Danzy (Monroeville, AL/Hillcrest) posted 15 points each for the Privateers. Jonathan Holler (N. Tonawanda, NY/Cardinal O’Hara), Robert Benton (Montgomery, AL/GW Carver) and Marc Lashley (Queens, NY/Holy Cross) each finished with 10.
Farmingdale will host CCNY on Tuesday, December 14th in a non-conference doubleheader with the women’s team. The women play at 6:00pm, men play at 8:00pm.
