Men's Basketball End of Season Report

The menís basketball team finished the season 20-9 and received the Sportsmanship Award in the Skyline Conference. The team finished the regular season with a 14-0 undefeated conference record, earning the top seed in the Skyline Playoffs. After an upset by Mount Saint Mary College in the Skyline Finals, the Rams earned a #3 seed in the ECAC Tournament. Two players broke the 1,000 point scoring mark this season, senior Damien McKenzie became the All-Time leading scorer with 1,349 points, while junior Kenny McMillan will have one year left to add to his total 1,232 points.

The menís team had three players named to the All-Conference team. McMillan was named Player of the Year, while McKenzie and junior Dashawn Warren were named to the Skyline 2nd Team. Head coach Erik Smiles was named Coach of the Year after leading the team to a 14-0 record and the Skyline Finals in his first season. He was also named Co-Coach of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York for his accomplishment.

On May 9th, 2005, Kenny McMillan was named the Farmingdale State Male Athlete of the Year at the Farmingdale State Athletic Banquet.
