Bloomfield, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted a team total of 317 in the first round of the NYU Spring Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J. The Rams are currently in fifth place out of 12 teams.

Senior Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.), who is tied for fifth place individually, led the way for FSC with a 3-over par 74. Freshman Nicholas Aurrichio (Nesconset, N.Y.) posted a career-best round of 79, while defending champion Chris Fischer (Mineola, N.Y.) carded an 80.

Host school NYU leads after posting a 298, while RPI (299) is one stroke behind. Trinity (CT) is in third place with a round one team total of 307.

Individually, NYU's Matthew Shen (71) is one shot ahead of Ryan Quinn (72) from RPI.

Tomorrow's final round will be a shotgun start beginning at 8:15 a.m.
