Livolsi's 72 Puts Farmingdale in Lead After Day One of Conference Championship


Junior Matt Livolsi shot a two-over par 72 on day one of the Skyline Conference Golf Championship at Bethpage State Park Red Course, in Farmingdale, N.Y. Livolsi made the turn at three-over par, and birdied 16 and 17 to shoot a one-under par 34 on the back nine. Freshman Chris Arnold shot a career low 76, followed by sophomore Masanao Maruyama (77) and junior Joe Russo (78).

Second place St. Joseph's College, who trails Farmingdale by 11 strokes, was led by sophomore Charlie Essig who shot a team low 76. Freshman P.J. LaPiana posted a 77 for the Golden Eagles.

The first tee-time for the final round of the championship will be 9:00 am tomorrow.
