Farmingdale State University junior outfielder Nick Barone (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon) was named Skyline Player of the Week for baseball on Monday, May 1st. Barone batted an impressive .542 with 13 hits in 24 at-bats to lead the Rams in a 4-2 week. Barone had four doubles, a triple, a home run, nine runs scored and 10 runs batted in, all against Skyline opponents. He went 6-for-9 against Manhattanville, 4-for-7 against Stevens and 3-for-8 against Mount Saint Mary. Barone accounted for more than half of Farmingdale's runs by either driving them in or crossing the plate himself.
