Game 2: Manhattanville 2 Farmingdale 1

Farmingdale (7-12, 5-6 Skyline) pitchers Jason Guichard (Melville, NY/Hills East) and Bill Jansen (West Hampton Beach, NY/West Hampton) threw 17 innings with no hits allowed in a Skyline Conference doubleheader against Manhattanville (14-12, 7-4 Skyline). Both games were well-pitched with a combined seven hits given up overall. Guichard threw the first no-hitter for Farmingdale since their move to the NCAA, striking out five and allowing only two walks. Ian Roche-Tilden (Huntington, NY/Harborfields)preserved the no-hitter with a diving catch with one out in the seventh inning. Jansen struck out 12 batters in his no-hitter and now holds a 0.30 ERA this season. The Rams were victorious in game one 1-0 with the game winning run scored by Roche-Tilden off an errant throw to third. The Valiants captured game two 2-1 in the 10th inning, as John Previti (Staten Island, NY) came home off a throwing error.

Farmingdale travels to Stevens Institute on Sunday, April 18th at 1pm for another conference doubleheader.
