Dowling College, for the second consecutive year, captured the Long Island Baseball Classic defeating Briarcliffe College 8-1 in the finals at the PAL Complex. Dowling’s Graig Martinez was named the Tournament Most Valuable player after going 5 for 8 with 5 rbi’s and 4 runs scored in their two games. Molloy College won the 1st annual tournament in 1991 before Dowling won the past two. This year’s tournament was held October 10-12, with the semi-finals and finals held at the PAL Complex located in Holbrook, NY.
