Farmingdale, N.Y. - Registration is open for the 3rd Annual Athletic Alumni Golf Outing, which will be held on Monday, September 11th, 2017 at Port Jefferson Country Club. Entry is open to all alumni, parents, friends, students, and supporters of Farmingdale State Athletics in an effort to raise money for both our athletic and alumni programs.

This year's honoree is John Dzinanka, the Director of Physical Plant at Farmingdale State College, a position he has held since 1987. John has seen the College through its most dynamic period of change, as the college went through a journey from a two-year Ag and Tech school to a full four-year college of technology. Throughout his tenure, he has seen approximately $500 million of capital improvements on the campus, including new construction ranging from the President's residence to numerous new classrooms and support buildings. As not only a tremendous supporter and fan of our Athletics program over the years, he has guided our department through such projects as the baseball stadium (2005), the soccer/lacrosse/track facility (2008), the tennis courts (2009), the Nold Athletic Complex (2014), Nold Gymnasium (2017) and our soon-to-be softball stadium (2018).

A son of a Local 3 electrician, he has been involved with construction since the age of 12. He attended the University of Oklahoma and the Mannes College of Music in Manhattan. By the age of 25, he was a Master Electrician and owned and operated an electrical contracting firm with his father, working in the 70's on several projects on our campus, before he accepted his position with the College.
