Head Coach: Patric Santiago (6th season)

Patric Santiago was named the Head Coach of Women's Volleyball in July 2009 and is entering his sixth season at the helm. Santiago, a 2006 Farmingdale State graduate, has also been an Assistant Coach for five sports, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor of the volleyball, golf, and racquetball PED classes. He also served as head coach of Indoor and Outdoor Track from June 2011- May 2013.

An active member of USA Volleyball, Santiago has competed in AVP Tour events, as well as Open level competition around the country.

While competing for the Rams, Santiago was a 4-sport athlete, excelling in soccer, golf, indoor and outdoor track. He is the only student-athlete to ever compete in four sports in school history and was captain of all four sports during his career.

In soccer, a starting goalkeeper for four years, Patric finished his senior year with 109 saves and four shutouts, helping the team to a ranking as one of the most improved teams in Division III in 2005. In golf, he was the #1 player of the golf team for four years, carrying a 1.5 handicap, while registering nine career rounds under 75.

Patric was a two-year Captain in both indoor and outdoor track, competing in the High Jump and Triple Jump. He finished in 4th place in the Triple Jump at the 2005-06 Indoor Track ECAC Championship's and 8th at the Collegiate Track Conference Championship (CTC's) in 04-05. In outdoor track, he finished 3rd at the 2006 CTC's and 4th at the 2006 ECAC's in the Triple Jump and took 4th place at the 2005 CTC's. Patric leaves the Track and Field team on Farmingdale State's Top-Ten Performance List for the Triple Jump in 3rd place.

Academically, Patric graduated with a GPA of 3.96 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Patric was named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American in 2006. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Vice President of our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He was the first student-athlete at Farmingdale to receive the Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence in 2005, was a two-time recipient of the Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award (2005 and 2006) and a two-time Farmingdale State Male Athlete of the Year (2004 and 2006). He also received the 2006 ECAC Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award, which is given annually to just one male and one female student-athlete throughout Divisions I, II and III.
