Title: Assistant Coach - Throws

Anthony, who is a USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified coach, joined the FSC coaching staff in the fall of 2013 and will be the Throws coach.

Coach Forti brings 18 years of experience to Farmingdale State and has held coaching positions for Half Hollow Hills School District, St. Anthony’s High School and Bay Shore School District. He has served as a District Weight Event Coach, or Boy’s and Girl’s Weight Event Coach at those schools. For the past two years, Anthony has been a private coach to high school and college athletes that desire one-on-one personalized instruction throughout the season and off-season.

During his career in indoor, he has coached one Girl’s County Champion, one Boy’s County Champion, eight All-County selections, four female athletes in Top-25 in State rankings, three Girl’s Qualifiers for the NY State meet, along with one All-State and All-Federation selection in Shot Put. For outdoor, he has coached 13 All-County Selections, two County MVP’s, five Qualifiers for the NY State meet, three Girl’s All-State, two Boy’s All-State, six Girl’s County Champions and five Boy’s County Champions in the Shot Put and Discus. He also has had seven male and female athletes who have qualified for the national list in the Hammer and Weight Throw.

He received his Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook and holds a Master’s of Education from Dowling College. He is currently a Chemistry Teacher in Lindenhurst and resides in Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.
